How to manage sharing settings for a data source?

Each data source has Sharing settings that control which partners can see overlaps with the accounts imported from it. This lets you map your accounts against every partner, against only a chosen group, or against no one at all.

Prerequisites

Opening the sharing settings

Who has access to these accounts?

This setting determines with whom the accounts in this data source are shared, which in turn controls which partners overlaps are detected with. Choose one of three options:

  • No one: Overlaps are not detected for these accounts. Use this to keep a data source private while you prepare it.
  • All partners: Overlaps are detected with all of your partners' accounts.
  • Some partners: Overlaps are detected only with the partners you select through a filter.

Sharing with some partners

When you choose Some partners, a filter builder appears so you can target partners by their properties rather than picking them one by one.

A filter reads as When partner property [property] [condition] [value] — for example, When partner property Program is any of Solution partner program. Only partners that match the filter will have overlaps detected against this data source.

Click Add filter to combine several conditions and narrow the selection further.

What is the shared scope?

Coming soon. A second setting, What is the shared scope?, will let you control how much of this data source the selected partners can see, from only the overlap count up to the full data source. This option is not available yet; for now, selected partners can see the overlapping accounts and their data.

Saving your changes

After adjusting the sharing settings, click Save to apply them, or Cancel to discard.

Changing the sharing settings re-evaluates overlap detection for the affected partners.
