How to manage deal expiration?
If you need to grant exclusivity on a deal to ensure your partner can work safely on it, or you simply want to ensure deals are closed within a specific time period, the deal expiration feature is for you.

Managing deal expiration
To manage deal expiration, follow the steps below:
- Go to Account
- Click on Deals
- Go to the Deal expiration section
- Toggle the Enable automatic deal expiration button
Once you have enabled the button, you have to set two values:
- the default number of days before a deal expires
- the default number of days before being notified of the expiration of a deal
Once the deal reaches its expiration reminder date or expiration date, the partner and the owner of the deal will be notified.
Setting the expiration date when accepting a deal
When a new deal has been registered by your partner, you can accept it and set your expiration date.
- Click on Accept
- Set a Deal expiration date
- Set a Deal Expiration reminder date
- Click Accept
The default value set in the account settings will be used.
Changing the deal expiration date
If you need to change the expiration date because your partner needs more time to close the deal, follow the steps:
- Go to the Deal
- Click Edit
- Scroll down and change the deal expiration date and expiration reminder date properties
Postponing deal expiration
Once a deal has expired, it will have the expired tag:
To postpone the expiration of a deal, follow these steps:
- Open an expired deal
- Click on the Postpone button under the expired status
- Set a new expiration date and reminder date
- Click Postpone
