Creating a Business Plan

The steps below will help you create business plans.

  • Give a name to your business plan
  • Select the partner that will enter into this business plan
  • Define the start and end date

Define Business Plan objectives

You have to define objectives when creating business plans.

Kiflo has three types of objectives:

  • Sales objectives
  • Marketing objectives
  • Training objectives

Under each type of objective, you can define measurable objectives.

Add a sales objective

  • To create your sales objectives, click Add a sales objective
  • Give a Name
  • Add a Description
  • Select your objective type
  • Set your target value for this objective
  • Click Add

Some of the sales objectives include: number of leads submitted, number of deals generated, number of deals won, revenue generated, and number of new customers.

For example, your partner objective could be to generate a certain amount of revenue during the business plan period. Kiflo will automatically track this amount for you.

Add a marketing or training objective

  • Click Add a marketing or training objective
  • Name the objective
  • Add a Description
  • Select your objective type. As of now, there is only one objective for this section, which is “Other”.
  • Set your target value for this objective
  • Click Add

Unlike the sales objectives, the marketing and training objectives are not tracked automatically. You or the partner will have to declare an activity. For example, your partner can host two webinars or have their sales representatives trained on your product.

How to validate a Business Plan

Once you are done creating the business plan, defining objectives, and your partner has agreed about it, click Validate.

You will see the status will change to “Active”. Once the business plan is active, you cannot make any further changes.

Once a business plan has been validated, it cannot be edited.

Only one Business Plan should be active at a time. Business plan period overlapping is not allowed.
